Installing your cling
Because a cling holds by static, the whole job comes down to clean glass and smoothing out the air. No solvents, no waiting to cure.

Clean the inside of the glass
Wipe the inside of the window with glass cleaner and a lint-free cloth, then let it dry completely. Static needs a spotless, dust-free surface to grip — this step matters more than any other.

Peel the cling off its backing
Separate the cling from its backing sheet, handling it by the edges. There is no adhesive, so you cannot get it "stuck" wrong — it will lift off cleanly if you need to start over.

Place it against the glass, facing out
Set the cling on the inside of the glass with the design facing outward. Inside clings are reversed, so the image reads correctly to someone standing outside. Line it up before pressing.

Smooth from the center outward
Press with a card or a soft cloth from the middle toward the edges, pushing any trapped air out to the sides until the cling sits flat and clear against the glass.

Reposition anytime
Not quite straight? Peel it back and set it again — the static grip lets you reposition as many times as you like, and lift the cling off entirely when you want to store or move it.

- —Static clings hold best on clean, smooth glass. They do not grip textured, frosted, or dusty surfaces well.
- —If a cling stops sticking over time, it has usually just collected dust — rinse it under water, let it air-dry, and it grips like new.

What is the difference between a window cling and a sticker?
A cling has no adhesive — it holds to glass by static, so it peels off cleanly and can be repositioned or reused. A sticker uses adhesive and is meant to stay put. Choose a cling when you want to move or remove it later.
Why does the cling go on the inside of the glass?

Will a static cling fall off in heat or cold?
